The Background

Located in the center of Boston’s bustling seaport district, the Westin Seaport Boston is a full-service hotel connected to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The hotel has services for meetings, weddings, convention-goers and families.

The Challenge

Before O’Rourke’s involvement, the Westin had been using a different agency to handle their social media accounts. But that agency was unfamiliar with the area, events and attractions. When the COVID pandemic delivered another blow to occupancy, it was clear they needed to shift their identity on social media.

The Solution

O’Rourke revamped their entire online image and social media presence, promoting the area’s thriving retail, restaurants and nightlife along with harbor cruises and other attractions. We updated their profile and provided a whole new slate of photos while creating a more engaging user experience with calls to action and a new sales-oriented element for almost every photo.
